James Attanasio is an Associate with the law firm of Mahoney & Mahoney. Following law school, Mr. Attanasio was chosen by one of the nation’s leading federal employee labor union, the National Treasury Employees Union, (N.T.E.U.), to represent federal employees in national negotiations and grievance and arbitration hearings. As an attorney and national negotiator at N.T.E.U. he handled various negotiations relating to changes in working conditions being sought at the Internal Revenue Service (I.R.S.), Environmental Protection Agency (E.P.A.), and Department of Health and Human Services (D.H.H.S.). Mr. Attanasio earned his law degree (J.D.) from the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law. In law school, Mr. Attanasio concentrated on labor and employment classes, including Employment Law, Fair Employment Law, and, Labor Law. Mr. Attanasio further strengthened his employment and labor law education as a law clerk for a Washington, DC-based labor and employment firm. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Attanasio attended the University of South Carolina. Mr. Attanasio is licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland. He is in the process of applying for admission to the D.C. Bar.
