Jessica Chu is an Associate with the law firm of Mahoney & Mahoney.

Ms. Chu earned her law degree (J.D.) from the Northeastern University School of Law. In law school, she was selected as a Lawyering Fellow for the Legal Skills in Social Context Program, where she led law students to develop critical reasoning skills through advocacy exercises and analytical discussions. Ms. Chu also developed a social justice project on international human rights by collaborating with a citizen advocacy organization.

In law school, Ms. Chu's primary emphasis was employment and labor law. During that time, she completed four legal internships. Ms. Chu further strengthened her interest in employment law and public sector labor relations as a legal intern at the American Federation of Government Employees. During this internship, she investigated and researched union members' request for representation regarding federal government personnel actions, labor relations, and constitutional and discrimination issues. Ms. Chu also interned at a labor-side law firm where she researched and drafted briefs to the National Labor Relations Board regarding unfair labor practices.

Before attending graduate school Ms. Chu attended the University of California, San Diego. She also spent a summer studying abroad at Pembroke College, Cambridge University, in England.

Ms. Chu is admitted to practice law in the State of California. She is in the process of applying for admission to the D.C. Bar. In the meantime, Ms. Chu is providing legal services to members of the public solely before departments and agencies of the United States. See. D.C. App. R. 49(c)(2).

Ms. Chu is conversational in Chinese (Mandarin) and in her free time she enjoys cycling, snowboarding and kickboxing.
