Federal Contractor Employee Lawyers

Discrimination

There is a procedure in place to protect federal contractor employees from unlawful employment discrimination. Mahoney & Jeffrey represents federal contractor employees who face discrimination from their contractor-employers. Whenever a contract employee has a discrimination claim, they can file a complaint with the Department of Labor's Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), which hears and decides such cases.

If you are a federal contractor employee who wants representation and sound advice on how to protect yourself from employment discrimination, call the attorneys at Mahoney & Jeffrey . We have represented federal government contractors for over a decade and are ready and able to assist you.

We also advise contractor companies of employee rights. One of the keys to avoiding discrimination litigation is to have legally sound employment policies that are consistently enforced.  If an employer has enforced policies, he or she can avoid many problems.

Security Clearances

Since September 11th, almost every government contractor has to obtain and maintain a security clearance to work with the federal government. Contractors who are unable to obtain and/or retain security clearances may lose their contracts and their jobs. If the government denies a security clearance to a federal contractor, that contractor has a right to challenge that denial.

The Defense Department’s Office of Hearings and Appeals (DOHA) handles security clearance appeals for federal contractors. Contractors get a complete hearing before a DOHA administrative judge. If they lose, they can appeal to DOHA’s Appeals Office. There is no judicial review in security clearance cases.

The attorneys at Mahoney & Jeffrey zealously defend the interests of our federal contractor clients. Call Mahoney & Jeffrey today at 202.312.7100 to find out more.

Mahoney & Jeffrey serves clients wherever the federal government has contractor employees, including civilian, military and diplomatic installations across the United States and worldwide in places such as North America, Asia, South and Central America, Africa, Japan, Germany, Italy, France and the entire European Union.
